And, of course, settling down from the buzz of last night’s Republican Presidential Debate at Moores Opera House! Here’s a few Coogs who definitely have our vote:
Lori Markel is the co-founder of Sienna Compounding Pharmacy in Missouri City, Texas, which specializes in compounding medications: preparing customized medications to meet each patient’s specific needs.
Ruth S. McCleskey is a co-founder of Boiling Point Players, a Houston theater company dedicated to producing female-driven work, and is one half of the improv troupe Ophelia’s Rope. She also works as a web developer at the University of Houston Law Center.
Kevin Pennell is an attorney with Zukowski, Bresenhan, Petry & Piazza, L.L.P. in Houston. A devoted family man and loyal Cougar, Pennell has been enjoying UH football games since his time as a student.
Happy New Year, Coogs! The photo for this post is in honor of the Cougars’ Peach Bowl Victory in Atlanta, GA on December 31, 2015. As for us, we’re adding these high-achieving alumni and students to our dream team roster:
Christy Jullien realized her love of hospitality at Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management. As sales manager at House of Hough, a specialty linen rental company and Cougar 100 member, she works one-on-one with clients to create memorable events.
Since the 2015 Memorial Day weekend flooding in Houston, news outlets nationwide have reported on the role Steven Shannon (’12) played in rescuing a woman and her dog only moments before her car was completely submerged in an underpass.
Maria Gutierrez (’91, M.B.A. ’95), a native Houstonian, is Manager of Tendering and Risk Assessment at Cameron Valves and Measurement and an avid traveler.
