A Note of Thanks

I often wondered if I could receive a high quality education without incurring significant debt. While it was hard not to let worry overtake me, I remained hopeful that my dream would one day become reality. I personally thought about my future, making my family proud and becoming an exceptional professional. These three items are the cornerstone of what ultimately determines our destiny. Now, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, because I am a recipient of a Bauer Excellence Scholarship.

Did you know that of 6,400 current Bauer students like me, only nine percent receive scholarships? Approximately 70 percent of Bauer students work 35 hours or more while attending school. We understand the complexities of today’s job market and are excited about solving some of the world’s most critical problems. Can you imagine what could be accomplished in the educational journey Bauer students experience when generosity takes center stage?

Now more than ever, Houston is a vibrant business landscape, and the C.T. Bauer College of Business prepares students like me to help sustain the city’s global advantage as well as spread the Bauer brand to other cities, states, and countries. The real-world expertise among the faculty provides first-hand experience, giving us the competitive edge required of the leading business hub we are about to enter.

Gifts to the University help maintain and improve programs of excellence which benefit all students, faculty and staff. We have resources and offerings which are up-to-date, and we are prepared to add value to the workforce. This is why Bauer has a reputation for taking care of its students and giving them a humble home two attributes which have proven beneficial to me. It is only possible with kind and selflessness donors who have created a climate of hope and perseverance for future generations. Their generosity has allowed me to realize my dreams and for that alone, I am forever grateful.

Sincerely,

AaronSig
