The UHAA New Student Send-Offs provide an opportunity for incoming freshman and transfer students not only to meet other incoming students, but also to meet Cougar alumni and get tips for what’s ahead. Thanks to wonderful alumni volunteer hosts in each city, UHAA is able to welcome our newest students to the Cougar family before they’ve even set foot on campus.
The New Student Send-Offs began in 2013 with events in Austin, McAllen and San Antonio. In 2014, the program grew to include nine cities around the state. Most recently, this past August saw nine more events in nine cities, including four in the greater Houston area. Be on the lookout next fall for a New Student Send-Off in your area!
