The University of Houston has partnered with Houston-area businesses flag by flag. This initiative encourages businesses with flagpoles throughout the greater Houston area to fly a UH flag year-round to show support for Houston’s University.

This partnership continues to generate considerable support for the University in numerous ways:

• Flying the UH flag has encouraged high school students to attend the University of Houston
• The flags persuade alumni and the greater Houston community to show visible support for the University of Houston
• The program provides a positive community image for businesses that participate
