UH Night at the Rodeo.

Every year, UH alumni get ready to head ’em up and move ’em out in Houston! The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo (HLS&R), or just “Rodeo” to most, is one of the most storied traditions in the Houston community, so as Houston’s university, it’s not surprising that Cougars play a huge part in the festivities. UH Cougar Cookers participate in the HLS&R World’s Championship Bar-B-Que cook-off. On UH Night each year, University dignitaries lead the grand entry into the Rodeo. And since 14 percent of Houstonians who hold bachelor’s degrees received them from UH, there’s a good chance you’ll meet a Cougar in the crowd on any given day during the three-week event.
